Last Saturday (9th August) we held our annual ‘Captain vs President’ match. This is one of the major events in the club year. Due to the absence this year of both the Club Captain and the Club President, this was rebadged as ‘Captain vs Captain’, with Peggy and Alan Braisher as Captains. A good number of members took part, with an encouraging number of newer bowlers playing. It was a close-fought contest, resulting in a narrow win for the Captain’s team.

After the match Marjorie Williams and Pat Glover organised the tea, with food provided by Gloria Storer, Jane Howman, Melody Smith, Richard Chapman, Marjorie & Pat.

There was a raffle that raised £105 for the club.
